Researchers from NUS have concluded that shopping can delay the onslaught of Alzheimer¡¯s disease. For persons aged 55 years and above, it was found that shopping was more effective than Mah-jong and regular exercise.

NUS researchers, taking a sample size of 1635 people aged between 55-92 years old, took 2 years of research to come to the conclusion that shopping, preparing meals, reading and listening to music can reduce possibility of Alzheimer¡¯s by as much as 40%. Social activity in Clubs and even mah-jong achieves only 30%. Exercises rakes in a mere 20%.

guess i have to emphasize to you that the target of said research are senior citizens aged 55 and ABOVE. so unless u are a lao ah ma over 55, i dont see hw you can so enthusiastically claim shopping is any good.
